Although CyberDEFs are CDEF resources, they have a remarkable level of object-orientedness...including something of a class structure. In order for a CyberDEF to become an "instance" that you see and interact with on your screen, you need to create a CNTL (control item) on a dialog (or a new control on a window) which references a CyberDEF. Next, you need to create a separate dialog item that references this CNTL (if you are creating a dialog, course).
You can have one CyberDEF which—thanks to var codes and default data contained in its CNTL template, and locations contained in its item template—appears and behaves quite diversely in the same or in different windows.
